This award has hung in Dee's parents home since 1984 and was donated by Dee to Melissa's Wish, a NY based 501c3 not-for-profit conceived and inspired by a young lady in the final days of her battle with cancer. Melissa asked her parents if they were to do anything in her name could they please help the caregivers of those suffering from a serious illness, injury or end of life event. Dee personally knew Melissa and her parents.
